Jason Woods is an award-winning writer, director, composer, and performer whose work spans Off-Broadway, international stages, film, and the page.
His original productions earned four honors at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including Best New Writing and Best Performance. The Scotsman called him "a one-man wonderland." Times Square Chronicles wrote that he is "beyond talented and must be seen." A dedicated autodidact, Woods maintains a singular creative vision by writing, directing, and composing the orchestral scores for all of his productions. He does wait for permission to create.
His debut short film, The Silver Burden — produced under his banner, Bellalore Productions — is currently in festival consideration. His feature screenplay, Mercy, a Southern Gothic horror thriller, has attracted significant investor interest and is in active development.
Woods is also the author of The Little Toy Shoppe, a high-end children's novel published through Bellalore Press, with 3,000 copies set for distribution. He is developing an original one-man show for symphony orchestras, and holds a produced musical and multiple series concepts in his pipeline.
Whether on stage, on screen, or on the page, Woods' creative output is driven by a fascination with the mechanics of transformation —
both in his characters and in his audience.
